The hospital owns its origin and  prosperity to its founder late : Kurunhikkattil Kunhiraman vaidyar. The hospital has unique stand since its work has been continuing for more than three centuries. It is currently managed and run by the renowned Dr. Sanal kumar kurinhikkattil, B A M S efficient and methodical like his gifted ancestors.
